Instructor Trent Chau brings you to the basics of lighting and explains how it all works. This is a great class for everyone as we discuss how to analyze, understand, manipulate, and control light. Understanding Lighting for Photography – January 26th in Atlanta
This class held by Trent Chau at the Goat Farm Atlanta studio covers what you need to know about lighting and how it affects photography. Learn how to understand, read, manipulate and control light to get the best results from you photos. You don’t have to have an expensive SLR to benefit from this class, you can even take better photos with your smart phone after taking this course.
A day in the studio with the Marvelous Sadie Hawkins **SOLD OUT**
Sadie Hawkins is one of the most adorable and awesome burlesque personalities out of Atlanta, and we are bringing her to studio for a personal session. Take photos of her in outfit and on her Lyra under amazing studio lighting setups. Sure to be a crowd pleaser, but extremely limited in space.

Meet and Shoot is gearing up to send you guys some pretty awesome workshops and personal sessions. Get your photography on with a variety of options to choose from. Here’s just a few of the shoots coming up.
Headshot and Fashion – August 22nd Personal Session Hosted by Chris Warrick
We’ll work on everything you need for actor, model, and corporate headshots. From rapport, lighting, posing, selecting the shots, etc.

Spinners and Saints – August 25th, 2012 Hosted by Trent Chau
Spinners and Saints are a 7 man/woman Pole Dance troupe that need photographs. This workshop walks you through the lighting, posing, and more that is required to get a commercial style shoot done. There will also be a little post processing shown at the end of the workshop.
Artistic Figure and Abstract – August 29th, 2012 hosted by Trent Chau
This personal session focuses on figure work using fine controlled studio lighting, and also enhancing the figure work with the use of props, backgrounds, shadow play and more. Images produced at this workshop will be good enough to be hung in a gallery. We will also be promotion creating more abstract imagery using shadows, light, props, and more.

Studio Lighting Clinic – September 8th, 2012, Hosted by Trent Chau
Get really down and dirty into the Studio process and learn about equipment, lighting position, lighting modification, and get all the answers you need for your own studio lighting questions. Get hands on experience using various types of studio strobes so you will be well aware of any brand you use in the field.

Gothic, Cosplay, Figure Personal Session – September 22nd hosted by Trent Chau
How about something a little alternative? This personal session brings a variety of outfits from the latex of gothic/industrial, the crazy costume detail of cosplay, and also some figure work at the end. In studio environment and more.

Thank you for all of those who attended the Photographers open house last night. Be sure to sign up for our classes/workshops/shoots coming up.
In less than 10 days is our light room class, while in July we have our next figure workshop. Thank you all.
Meet and Shoot invites you to the Photographer’s Open House
A while back MaS asked photographers if they would like to attend a Open house where the photographers shot each other, and the response was wonderful. Why would they do that? Well Meet and Shoot would treat it like one of our workshops and setup some amazing lighting setups and the photographers would be able to get awesome head shots for their personal website/Facebook/so on. Well we have a date for that event and we hope to see you there?
Come join us at Studio APG at the Goat Farm from 6-10 on May 30th, 2012 and bring your camera. Remember to also dress well and get ready to be shot. We suggest you bring a photographer friend also so you guys can shoot each other.
At the event we will have some of our past and future models ready to talk to you (please avoid shooting with them much, if at all, as this event is meant more for photographers to shoot each other). So come check out the studio if you’ve never been before, and have a great time. This event is ABSOLUTELY free (Though donations always appreciated, helps make MaS events better).
